Fall 2006: New York – Best Collection

Ok so in the past Donna Karan’s obsessive use of jersey has really turned me off her collections, but her Fall 2006 offering is brilliant:

From the most wearable shift dress in these 2 variations - one with a halter style neckline and contrast trim and mesh insert details…and the other with its low V neckline…

…to drapy jersey dresses with just the right measure of goddess in the mix …

… a shift with cumberbund/obi detail and jacket with minimal detailing are both perfect canvases for the seasons hottest colour- purple…

…more jackets perfect to keep away the winter chill
– just choose your hue and if you want it belted or not…

…I love the use of wool for this evening dress with crystal detail (as seen on the longer dress with halter neckline)…

…and killer heels seal the deal.
